Dance style in the solo categorie has to be raqs sharki (classical oriental dance) and the music has to be oriental ( no mixture with styles like modern, jazz etc) Props such as canes , veils, Isis-wings, cymbals or tambourine can be used during the entrance, but no longer than 30 seconds.

• Competition is only possible in combination with booking of workshops
• You have to be 18 years old, if not you need a permission of your parents
• Registration fee is not refundable, if you do not show up

Jury and judging criterias:

• Our master instructors of SPIRIT of CAIRO will be judge your performance.
• They evaluate following:
  • the interpretation of the music
  • stage utilization and stage presence
  • creative and artistic expression
  • technique
  • appearance: costume, make-up, hair
